What is USDA Organic Certification?
When you see the USDA Organic seal on a product, it means the product has been verified by an independent, USDA-accredited certifying agent under the National Organic Program (NOP). Not just labeled ‘organic’ by us. Being a federally regulated mark, it only appears on the formulas that have actually earned it.
Why We Care About This Seal
At Majestic Pure, our whole approach is built on ingredients being simple, honest, and traceable back to the source. A lot of beauty and wellness brands can put natural or clean on a label with no one checking their work.
USDA Organic, however, requires outside verification. Every detail about how the crop was grown, how the oil was processed, and how the supply chain was handled at every step is noted. That's why we sought this certification for oils like Majestic Pure Castor Oil and Majestic Pure Jojoba Oil instead of relying on the word ‘organic’ alone.
What Has to Be True for the USDA Seal to Apply
Earning the right to carry the USDA Organic seal means a product has to meet standards that go well beyond the ingredient list:

No GMOs.
Genetically modified seeds and GMO-derived ingredients are prohibited outright.

Clean growing land.
The soil has to go a minimum of three years without prohibited substances like synthetic fertilizers or sewage sludge before an organic harvest can come from it.

Pest and weed control without shortcuts.
Physical, mechanical, and biological methods come first; synthetic inputs are only allowed if they're on the National List of approved substances.

Organic sourcing.
Operations are required to use organic seeds and planting material.

Independent, ongoing inspection.
